A great loss

January ended with a call announcing the untimely death of my stepfather, Bob Jefcoat. As he was recovering form November open heart surgery, all thought this was to allow him and my Mom several more years together to see and do some more things as health would allow. Unfortunately, the fates were against him and he died suddenly at home Friday, January 28. It was with a heavy heart I made the trip back to bury him and spend time grieving with the family. He was a great man, with a big heart, and he will be sorely missed.

January 2011

Well the month ended with the MU Tigers being here for the Insight Bowl, in which they played pretty well but lost in the end. Then came the usual bevy of car auctions - I attended Barrett-Jackson again this year - and all the hoopla surrounding that. The last weekend saw great January weather so we got out on the Harley and made a local day ride to enjoy the temps and support a gal who had taken a spill from a bike as well via a charity event.
